All Human Beings are in Truth Akin

Your Excellency
While modern and civilized countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium,
Canada and Spain have passed legislation recognizing the rights of
homosexuals to marry and live honorably like any other citizen in
this world, thereby recognizing all their citizens as equal, and
as other countries are about to follow suit, as an intelligent species,
we are astonished to realize that there are still some countries
that live in the Dark Ages; Iran being one of them! Shockingly, on
July 19, 2005, the Islamic authorities of the Islamic Republic decided
to commit the unthinkable. Two, presumably gay, teenaged boys were
hanged on that day for the crime of being born homosexual!
This is not some documentary about the Middle Age, Mrs. Ambassador,
but a sordid reality that is taking place at this moment in Iran,
where more than 4,000 lesbians and gay men have been executed since
1979. Furthermore, its reliable sources estimate that 100,000 Iranians
have been put to death over the last 26 years of clerical rule.
Humanity is outraged by these atrocities and urges the Iranian Islamic
government to take action so that homosexuals are recognized as human
beings, protected and not punishable by death or by any other means.
Humanity will demand action from the United Nations, The European
Commission on Human Rights (ECHR) and Amnesty International towards
Iran, and if necessary, will request that the Iranian Islamic authorities
and all its members be judged by the International Criminal Court
in The Hague for crimes against humanity.
Iran will remain a pariah state in the growing world community on
account of its continuing primitive disregard for basic human rights.
Iran cannot continue these state sanctioned medieval practices without
incurring the disdain of civilized nations. We urge the Islamic government
to show signs of entering into the 21st century, which is a new era
for all mankind, including all races and all sexual orientations.
We do believe, Mrs. Ambassador that we are all born equal and that
homosexuality is part of the rich diversity of human sexuality and
experience. The world community should be reminded of the fact that
there is nothing wrong with homosexuality. In fact, in this age of
science and technology, it is inconceivable that a country still
exists that does not know that sexual orientation has been proven
to be genetically determined, as much as eye color or a person’s
race.
Please convey to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran the
humanity’s indignation towards the way the Islamic government
has handled human rights and particularly the rights of homosexuals.
This is neither the wish nor the message of humanity. We call on
the president of the Islamic government, and on all the religious
leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran to cease these repressive
and barbaric actions against homosexuals immediately. There can not
be peace and love on this planet if there is no love towards people
who are different, and this includes sexual orientation.
Yours truly,
Humanity
All human beings are in truth akin; All in creation
share one origin.
When fate allots a member pangs and pains, No
ease for other members then remains. If, unperturbed, another's
grief canst scan, Thou are not worthy of the name of man.
