What is the relationship between a creator and a creature? In
other words, why does a creator create? We, human beings, have
been creating/inventing things since the dawn of man. But why?
One feasible answer to this question is because we are needy;
we need to make tools to survive. Is it true that “need” is
the mother of invention? We have invented many objects, because
we need them. We have invented cars, trains, airplanes, ships,
and bicycles to make transportation easier and more accessible.
We invented computers for its own great needs such as communication,
operation, calculation, control, management, and you name it.
Rationally, there should be a logical need to create or invent.
A logical need could be constructive (medications) or destructive
( bombs).
If one invents an object which there is no need for, then you
have wasted one’s time, money and energy for no apparent
reason. In this case, one is considered a foolish/irrational
inventor by inventing something which does not have any apparent
use, good or bad.
Let’s assume that God exists and God created man. Since
there is a need relationship between a creator and a creature,
rationally speaking, there has to be a need for God to create
man. If there was no need for God to create man, then God is
considered a foolish/irrational creator. If there is an associative
need between God and man as creator and creature then God is
a needy God not a needless God.
You may argue that I could create/invent something just for
the pure hell of it in order to kill time and keep myself busy.
Again, there is a need to do so; the need is to escape boredom
and monotony. In this scenario, if God created man without any
logical constructive or destructive need, then God created man
out of his or her tearful monotony without any specific goal
and aspiration. In this case, God’s creatures are a product
of God’s tediousness. And we are not the center of the
universe to begin with.
To claim that you are an inventor, you need to invent something.
Perhaps, God wanted to claim that he or she is the creator of
the Universe. Thus, God created the Universe just to prove that
he or she can create just for the hell of it. In this case, there
is no meaning in life since the thought behind the act of creation
was nothing except a boost in ego. And he or she, God, did not
do that in a competent manner, either.
Go ahead and praise God and stroke his ego that you are his
marionette puppet, who’s comforting God’s destitution
and neediness.
Humanity bless God!
