In recent months there has been a move to allow the operation of Sharia courts in Britain for civil matters. Nobody in the British establishment or political classes has seriously suggested that Sharia courts be accepted as having any jurisdiction in criminal matters. If Sharia courts do attempt to get involved in matters of criminal law all those concerned should be prosecuted for contempt of court and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
I have no objection to people going to a Sharia court when both parties to a potential case agree, freely and without any coercion, to abide by its decisions. I see this as directly analogous to agreeing to accept the decisions of an umpire in a cricket match. English law does allow for people to agree to submit to the decisions of a tribunal which is not officially a court within the framework of English law. For a long time Jews have had access to the beth din court system for a specifically Jewish form of arbitration.
ACAS, the Advisory, Conciliation, and Arbitration Service offers a totally secular alternative to either civil courts or fisticuffs for those who agree to accept their findings. So what is the problem with allowing Muslims to declare their own Sharia councils to be their arbitration service? Nothing at all, except perhaps Islamophobia. If it good enough for Jews and trade unionists why is it too good for Muslims?
To the western media. especially the lower end, Sharia is synonymous with death sentences and mutilations. But in many Muslim countries Sharia courts and councils happily manage a limited range of paralegal services without trespassing on the rights of the secular courts to handle criminal matters. The Sharia councils declare their fatwas on divorces and wandering goats while the state's official courts handle thefts, rapes and murders using common sense and interpretation of statutes rather than trying to second guess the will of Allah.
It is nonsense to suggest that accepting Sharia courts to handle business disputes about restaurant deliveries of halal chicken and letting imams conduct weddings in the same way that Christian priests and pastors do will somehow result in an inevitable and unstoppable momentum which will lead to Matt Lucas having a wall pushed over on him and Madonna executed for blasphemy.
However, there is one very big problem with Sharia law, that is its systematic discrimination against women. Because women are systematically discriminated against in Sharia law it cannot be acceptable for British courts to be used to impose the decisions made by such courts. To do so would be to entrench the third class status of women and to make British laws a party to this discrimination, which is an abuse of fundamental principles of British justice. This must be stopped in the name of justice and the rights of women.
If you want to stop the Islamization of Britain the solution is simple, beat them at their own game: have the courage of your convictions, take a pride in your culture and breed. Alternatively you can piss and moan about your race while not contributing even a drop of semen to it and then clear off to Spain to live off your British pension out of the way of the all the bloody foreigners. Traitors.
People want to come to our country because of the economy, the wealth, the lack of corruption, the opportunities, the effective welfare state and the lack of oppression. All those things depend upon freedom and the rule of law. Those things are not widely achievable in most Islamic countries, even countries which are dizzyingly wealthy because of oil. We must protect all these things and keep our country healthy, our future bright and hopeful. If we don't look with hope to the future and confidence in our culture of freedom, innovation and enterprise we will be facing a future in which only those with religious zeal are breeding and the people surrounding us will all be believers in a powerful meme.
The world is over populated, there are mega-cities which are enormous slums with millions of poor people in them. But Britain is not over-populated, our population is just out of balance. You won't cure the world population problem by not having any children here in Britain or Europe but in making such a decison you may be contributing to the death of liberal tolerant society in Europe. Keep up your quota, have two children to replace you and your partner in the next generation. If you don't do so the gap will be filled by another, almost certainly with parents who will indoctrinate them with a powerful religion. You can't shame the religious breeders into moderation by not having any children, they do not take any notice of you anyway and will think you are mad. Keep to your quota, do your duty to posterity. The future depends upon it. If you can't bring yourself to breed then adopt, that works just as well. We can't leave the future to the selfish religious breeders.
