I am quite willing to debate with people who disagree with me but I do not appreciate receiving unsolicited ten thousand word essays full of questions, keep your first message down to a reasonable size.
Please don't send me anything on the lines of read this book and get wise. Make your own case if you think I am wrong.
I assume all material submitted may be published at my discretion.

The site is very busy and attracts a lot of response. I can no longer guarantee to respond to all emails.
To reduce the build-up of email I would like to point out that I will not respond to the following types of message:-
• One paragraph requests for detailed descriptions of my views, especially when such information is clearly available to be discovered by looking around on the site.
• Off-the-record complaints and criticisms. If you do not want your message published don't send it because I will just ignore it. I do not publish all email I receive, much of it is too dull, but I do not have the time to engage in debates that could never be published. If there are parts of your message (personal details) that you do not want publishing then enclose those parts in square brackets, I will always remove such details if they are marked up in that way. If you want the whole message not to be published I will simply delete the message as soon as I see such a request. Do not waste your time writing something that will not be read.
• Requests to answer questions that look suspiciously like homework assignment essay questions, especially if they come complete with deadlines!
• Comments about something I didn't write. Check carefully who wrote what you are responding to. The author's name should be clearly displayed at the top of the page. Only if no author is specified can you conclude that I (Martin Willett) wrote it. There is a visual clue that works across the whole site, only my words appear as black on white, other writers' words appear in different colour combinations.
• Messages from people whose emails are too illiterate, incoherent or unhinged to merit a reply.
Before berating me with the seventeenth repetition of the same point search to see whether your point has been made before.
I have been doing this for over eight years, if you are a Christian the chance that you have got some profound new idea that I have never had thrust at me before is practically nil.
